State rejects Edward's plans for Plainfield hospital (The Plainfield Sun: Thu, 22 Feb) State regulators Wednesday again rejected Edward Hospital¹s efforts to build a hospital in Plainfield. But Edward officials said afterward they would not be deterred and plan to come back with a new application in a matter of weeks or months. The Illinois Health Facilities Planning Board voted 4-0 against the plan, reaffirming a decision made in July.
