(AllAfrica.com: Wed, 04 Jul) South Africa's mid-year 2007 estimated population has increased to 47.9 million compared to the October 1991 census at 44.8 million and 40.6 million in October 1996, according to data released by Statistics South Africa (StatsSA), Tuesday.
