(NBC 17 Raleigh: Fri, 12 Oct) RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Triangle could be in the midst of a baby boom. In June 512 babies were born at REX. In July and August 575 babies were born each month. In September 622 babies were born. The average according to a spokeswoman is 20 to 30 births a day. REX hospital believes the recent numbers are just one more sign of population growth in the area.
